It's here, folks. We've reached the end of season 1. This was definitely a season of firsts: our first time meeting amazing local (ish) musicians, our first time collaborating on this type of project, our first time testing the waters to see what we could do. There's no other way to say it: we had a blast.
And if there's one thing we've learned from this season, it's that there are a lot of talented artists out there. You can type in any genre, followed by "Philadelphia", and you'll find your new favorite band.
Rasan Allbritton, the band's vocalist/guitarist, whacks out chords while the rest of the band provides a punky backrop. The two demo songs available on their Soundcloud are a sonic barrage, with crunchy guitar and hard-hitting drums. But floating just above all this is acoustic guitar, which is Rasan's instrument of choice. It spins a surprising dynamic when combined with the rest of the band.
During his solo acoustic session, we talked about Rasan's songwriting techniques, his preference for acoustic guitar, growing as a band, and playing West Philly Porch Fest.
We invite you to join us in wrapping up a fantastic first season. Sit back and enjoy! We'll see you soon for Season 2.
